Course Description

Survey of Caribbean literature in English from the 17th century to present. Examines how Caribbean writers have imagined and articulated freedom, subjectivity, and history against and beyond colonialism and its legacies. Investigates how colonialism, post-colonialism, and the lived experiences of Caribbean people have shaped literature across multiple genres.
