Course Description
Explores poetry as imagery, figurative language, allusion, tone, rhythm, meter, rhyme and stanza form. Students read major English and American poetry as well as verse from a variety of cultures to provide background for reading poems more incisively. (Offered Alternate Fall Semesters) 3 lecture hours
